An Introduction to my 2025 Calendar
Welcome to my Calendar for 2025 which includes many paintings from my travels and favourite places.
Again beaches are a common feature as I just love to walk along the sand, watch the wave’s crash against the rocks and just take in the mood of the moment. Even on a blustery day it’s such a fabulous feeling letting the wind stream through your hair blowing the cobwebs away!
We are so lucky in Scotland to have such a diverse coastline. The prints are from my painting either in oil or acrylic and are painted on location of from my sketches or my photographs capturing the atmosphere and the feeling of that particular time of day. My aim is to use different mediums, brush strokes and techniques to capture the vibrant colours brought out by the changing light, the blues and greens in the sea, the texture of the sand and the contours and ruggedness of our magnificent mountains.
Two of my highlights over the last 12 months have been to visit May Island which at the time had an abundance of wild flowers of course hundreds of puffins full of charachter, just a sheer joy to watch. Another was a visit to the island of Eigg where I even managed to climb to the top of An Sg`urr. The views of the other small isles were just amazing.
The hospitality again on my travels has been first class as always.
From seascapes to pet portraits, cushions and doorknobs, ranging in acrylic, oil, watercolour and pastel.
My originals, prints and cards can be found in shops in the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh, Oban Mallaig Art Gallery, Glasgow, Stirling, Harris, and the island of Iona. Having had my first solo exhibition in 2022, which was a journey up the West Coast of Scotland, I am now working on more originals, as well as many commissions.
I exhibit regularly at many arts & craft fairs, and my current schedule can be found further down on this page
In the past I have exhibited at The Crafters annual fair, Kelso, Art @ Ancrum, 3 Harbours Art Festival, McMillan Cancers Annual Art Fair, East Linton Art Exhibition and many more events.
I have started to write a blog to keep in touch with those who are interested in my work. Please take a look at it here; I'd love to hear from you all!

"I love your cards so very much --such rich colour... They are truly lovely and I can't wait to use them!"

"My most favourite work of art yet! Love the crashing waves and even though the location is different, it reminds me vividly of the northwest shore of Iona in a storm!"
